They have to relinquish all their modern day trappings and jewellery but some are trying to hang onto things.

Miss . Gibson tells Holly she must remove the sleeper she has in her ear.

Sophia starts the teacher nicknaming by calling Miss Gibson a terrier. ( We learn later on that her nickname in the 21st century is Hitler)

The girls also have to remove their makeup.

Both the girls and boys get a lecture about the door between their dorms and it is likened to the Berlin Wall and they should never ever try and cross or communicate through it.

It does not take long for the boys to get up to mischief and upon finding a dead bird in the fireplace they immediately break the rule by placing the carcass in the girls dorm.

The boys are taken outside by  the Housemaster and given a first taste of the sort of tongue lashing pupils of the sixties would of received.

However to most of them it seemed to be a joke.

They are then led off to complete their sixties look to the barbers.
